NAREA ATELIER FACILITATOR

Atelier Facilitator: North American Reggio Emilia Alliance, 2017 Summer Conference at the University of Michigan – Stamps School of Art and Design. Transformation of Life and Water. Developed participatory, place-based workshop exploring water conservation through visual art materials.

Santa Fe Opera: ECI

Santa Fe Opera Early Childhood Initiative. Provided the program’s professional development workshops with the pedagogical leadership needed to ensure the workshops are unique, of the highest quality and of the greatest benefit to the early childhood educators that attend them. Worked alongside early childhood teachers and children in classroom to offer learning experiences designed to expose them to a wide range of art materials as tools for expression, and arts integrated learning.

Art Truck Milwaukee Arts Initiative

Organized arts learning experiences in parks and public spaces for youth. Created mural with youth reflecting the Milwaukee River.

CAPE: Research Consultant

Research Consultant, Chicago Artists Partners in Education, (2003 – 2008). •Provided arts integration, action research, and documentation workshops and training for Chicago, Illinois area teachers grades PreK-12, artists, and museum educators •Researcher for Department of Education Early Literacy and the Arts grant, •Co-developed assessment tool SEAL: Snapshot of Early Arts Literacy •Served on advisory board with other representatives from national arts organizations

UNM Native Language Immersion

University of New Mexico – Indian Policy Program With Dr. Penny Bird and Dr. Chris Sims. Designed workshop series for New Mexico and Arizona Native American Language Immersion early childhood – high school educators. Introduced the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach. Included working with art materials and inquiry based approaches. Organized tours of Tucson Children’s Project Head Start classrooms and art studios.

Wonder of Learning Project

Presided over the organization of bringing the Wonder of Learning exhibit from the educational programs of Reggio Emilia, Italy to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Sciences, Albuquerque, New Mexico June through November, 2014. • Managed large group of volunteers across New Mexico • Organized state-wide professional development opportunities and school tours - including scholarships for teachers from rural and under-served areas •Coordinated events with several organizations across
