Collaborative Teachers Institute, 2014-Present
The Collaborative Teachers Institute (CTI) was established in 2014 to create a community of practice for early childhood educators based in New Mexico. This community includes classroom teachers, parents, program directors, art educators, and museum and nature-based program educators working in diverse contexts. The CTI members share a common goal of creating interdisciplinary, aesthetic inquiries based on the interests of children, families, and educators. By studying pedagogical documentation, the CTI members use a reflective process to make young children's complex creative processes and inquiries visible.
